Persephone's growth

I was only out painting the narcissus
Until the ground broke beneath me
You tried to question and control our fate
Without giving any thought to what could please me
And to this day I don’t return
Yet I no longer let you wreak havoc on the innocent
You stayed furious and turned your homelife into chaos
But mine stayed peaceful in the garden of the underworld
Spring is still my own and i’ll forever claim it
Taking power over your name and remaining my own
